TOP 5 Tips for Reopening of NT National Parks
The last few months have kept us back from exploring our great outdoors due to the COVID 19 pandemic. It’s now time to cast those shackles aside and get back into nature, mindfully!
Here are the Top 5 tips on making June 5th reopening a success:
1. HAVE A BACKUP PLAN
We have all been stuck inside for these last few months and that means that a lot of people are going to want to get outdoors. The best way to ensure that you have a successful weekend is to plan a first itinerary as well as a backup plan. Have the expectations that you will need to follow the backup plan to manage disappointment.
2. GO EARLY
If you’ve got your first plan set up and your team ready to go: be sure to go early ☀️ (the early bird ?always gets the worm?).
3. KEEP UP PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Practising good hygiene and keeping a healthy physical distance between individuals is our most powerful weapon in fighting this virus and saving lives. We want to be sure to keep the parks open.
4. BE PREPARED
Ensure that you have enough fuel, food and drink for your trip and tell somebody where you’re going and what time to expect you back. There are parts of the park that have no mobile coverage and in case of an emergency, a trusted family member or friend should know your whereabouts.
Oh and don’t forget to slip, slop and slap.
5. CHECK THE PARK YOU WANT TO VISIT IS OPEN
